It is never too early to prepare for Christmas or Hanukkah greetings and gifts.  It is such a special time of the year; I start humming music just thinking about it.  Sometimes referred to as Christmas Creep, the idea of making our loved ones’ happy means that rather than buying whatever is left on the shelves two weeks before December 25, we are always alert for the proper gifts throughout the year.

One way to plan for it is to make up next year’s list right after January 1.  Keep it on your smart phone and fill in the blanks throughout the year.  The hardest part is to find a secret hiding place.  That may take a little creativity, but I am sure that you will master the challenge.  Sometimes, folks might say during the course of conversation “Oh I wish that …”  As soon as possible, keep notes on that thought and look for buying opportunities.  Not only will you have the perfect gift, you will have it at a good price.  But make sure that the store has a policy that because it is a gift, it can be returne
