Feel Good Inspirational Stones

Getting a good night’s sleep improves your ability to think and function during the day.  Your good luck stone may not help you sleep better, but here are some tips that will:

Keep regular hours
Stick to a regular schedule.  Try to get to bed at the same time every night and awaken at the same time in the morning.

Exercise regularly
Exercise burns off the stress of the day.  But don’t exercise too close to bedtime.

Limit caffeine and other stimulants
Caffeinated drinks after midday may interfere with your sleep.  Nicotine and chemicals found in chocolate and cheddar cheese may also negatively affect your ability to sleep.

Limit alcohol
Limit your alcohol consumption to one drink at dinner or in the evening.  Alcohol can disrupt your sleep.

Control nighttime eating
Don’t go to bed on a full stomach. Also, don’t starve yourself before bedtime.

Less light
Reduce lighting for an hour or two before bedtime.
