Some folks do not like to spray chemicals like “Off” on themselves before they go outside to do some gardening.  What is even more annoying is being bitten by mosquitos and other flying bugs while you are trying to get your work done.  The following all natural bug repellant can be made at home and contains no chemicals.

Anise oil is available in many health food stores and pharmacies.  It is also the main ingredient in licorice.  Add just a few capfuls of anise oil to the wash cycle so that it mixes with the suds.  The residue will remain on your clothing until the next wash.  When you go outdoors gardening or camping, wear the clothing exposed to the anise oil.  Mosquitos, gnats, houseflies and some other pests will migrate elsewhere.  You might smell a little like licorice but you will be free of what bugs you, and you won’t be throwing rocks and inspirational stones at the flying bugs.
