Even better than a sale is a repeat customer.  They not only provide you with sales, they acknowledge that they appreciate your products or services.  But best of all is a happy client or customer who trusts you because of the way you operate your business and is ready to recommend your business to others.  However, that may not be the philosophy behind social media likes.

Often, internet based companies offer tangible benefits to “like us”.  Do they really like us?  Who knows!  What is really important is that sales turn into customers or clients.  The way to do this is by earning their trust.  But how?  First, always beat expectations.  If you think your shipment will arrive by November 10, say November 11 or earlier.  When you receive an order for merchandise, try to ship it today.  If you receive a question over the phone or via the internet, acknowledge the question immediately and estimate when you will have an answer, even if you are not being paid for the answer.  Also, be sure to say thank you.  Engraved business gifts are an inexpensive and appropriate solution.
