Happy Hanukkah Engraved Stones

Most of us love to send greeting cards because it is a habit, and we know that the recipient enjoys receiving them.  They are often displayed for several days before either tossing them or placing the cards in a box.  They remind me of photographs taken on a vacation.  We look at them when we return and share the pictures with others for a while.  With most folks, photos end up in a drawer, never to be seen again. As an alternative to greeting cards, many folks send Greeting Stones which are like Christmas or Chanukah greetings.

Greeting stones can be personalized using a fine tip permanent marker.  When folks receive them, they are usually saved and kept as paperweights, pocket stones or used to decorate planters.  Personalized stones enable the recipient to always remember who gave the stone to them and when.  Some people collect them and keep them in a display bowl and left on a coffee table or similar place.
