Looking at one of my favorite engraved pocket stones, feel good, I was reminded to take a walk, since I always feel better after returning from a walk.  Why is that?  According to the research, walking helps the body produce endorphins, which are mood-boosting chemicals which give you a natural high.

Besides feeling better, walking improves your physical health. Studies show that walking briskly for 30 minutes daily reduces your risk of heart disease.  Also, walking helps reduce levels of body fat which lowers your breast cancer risk.

Did you know that walking has been shown to improve your ability to get a good night’s sleep? It also keeps you slimmer by preventing weight gain. In addition, walking has been linked to improved mental sharpness in seniors by keeping your mind active. Moreover, walking is not just for your heart health since it also keeps your bones stronger.
