For years, manufacturers and retailers have been promoting their products through the use of coupons.  They hope that by getting you to try their merchandise or service, you will become loyal consumers.  There are always at least two major competitors vying for your business and often as many as five.  As an example, Duracell and EverReady are the two major battery companies, however Ray-O-Vac and Kodak are always trying to increase their market share.

Most coupon savers are very well organized.  Their coupons are organized by category and constantly replenished each week as new ones arrive by mail or via the newspaper.  Then there is another group of coupons which arrives via Val-Pac or a similar company.  You will need a second storage place for those products and services. Every coupon has an expiration date so plan on spending one hour each month discarding the expired coupons.  However, if it is a Bed Bath and Beyond coupon, never toss it because the store will always honor it,   Treat coupons like money because they are as helpful as an inspirational paperweight.
